Where does Troop 80 meet?
Troop 80 meets every Monday at the Acacia Club in Dracut from 7:00 - 8:30.

How do I know if there is no Troop Meeting if the weather is bad?
Good Question, If the Scoutmaster determines that the Troop Meeting is cancelled due to inclimate weather he will notify the Senior Patrol Leader who will then have the Patrol Leaders call their Patrol members to notify them of the cancellation. There will also be an email sent to all Troop Members and it will be posted here on our website.

What do I need to bring on a campout?
For every campout campout Scouts may need different equipment based on the weather or the activities that are going on. We have prepared a few suggested packing lists that you can use as a guideline. Please do not assume these are the only items needed. Scouts, please check with your Patrol Leader or the Adult in charge of the particular outing for more information on what is needed for the trip.

How do I start a merit badge?
Merit Badges are always fun, but you need to follow a simple process in order to begin one. First you need to see the scoutmaster to get permission to begin the merit badge you wish to do. If he gives you permission, he will issue you a blue card to start the merit badge. Next, you need to find a merit badge counselor. You MUST have a merit badge counselor to begin a merit badge or your work will not count!

Who runs the Troop?
Troop 80 is a boy run program and follows the Patrol Method. The scouts are lead by the Senior Patrol Leader who is elected by his fellow scouts. The Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters and the Troop Committee are there for safety, support and guidance.
