Winter Gear List

Sleeping

• sleeping pad
• space blanket
• sleeping bag (20 degrees or below)
• sleeping bag liner (optional) – if you have a higher than 20 degree sleeping bag that you can use a liner or a warm blanket
• pillow

Clothes

• wool socks - 3pairs
• pants-2pairs
• thermal underwear-1 or 2 sets
• long sleeve shirt-2
• sweatshirt/fleece 1 or 2
• winter jacket
• rain gear ( rain coat and pants)
• winter gloves – 2 pairs
• winter hat – 2
• winter boots or hiking boots
• Pajamas (optional)

Other

• First Aid kit
• Matches
• Mess Kit (plate, bowl, fork, knife, spoon and cup)
• Pocket Knife (must have earned Totin’ Chip)
• Tooth Brush/ Tooth Paste
• Extra Snacks
• Money for Patrol Food
• Backpack or Duffle Bag
• Compass
• Water Bottle – 2
• Scout Handbook
• Pencil and Paper
