The Rope Training was conducted on November 20-21, 2001 at The Training Center and at the Whiddle Mills on Aiken Street. The drill consisted of Large Area Search techniques and personal rope bailout survival techniques. The following photographs were taken by our Training Officer Capt. Jeff Winward. The Training Instructor was Kevin Garvey, of the Lexington Fire Department. He is a Tactical EMT with Metro Boston Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) Special Operations. He was assisted by Mark McCabe of The Braintree Fire Department. Mark is a member of the Massachusetts Urban Search & Rescue Task Force (FEMA).
