The Lowell Fire Fighters organized and became affiliated
with the International Association of Fire Fighters on May 26th
, 1946. With 50 years of affiliation, Local 853 members strive to
support the cause of organized labor and the health and safety of our
firefighters and the citizens of Lowell. Also affiliated with the
Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts, the American Federation of
Labor, the Massachusetts State Labor Council and the Greater Lowell Central
Labor Council.
Meetings are held at the Lowell Firefighters Club, 362 Fletcher
Street on the fourth Wednesday of each month at seven-thirty (7:30)P.M.
