 Since the arrival of French-speaking immigrants to the Greater Lowell area in the mid-19th century, a great number of them have left a lasting impression on the development of our community. Frequently these contributions benefited not only the Franco-Americans but also the community at large. What follows is a listing of these “notables”. It is in no way a complete list and names will undoubtedly be added as they are brought to our attention.
