Since its foundation in 1975, the Franco-American Day Committee of Lowell, Massachusetts has honored a local member of the community with the title of Franco-American of the Year as part of their yearly celebration. The individual selected for this honor must be one of high moral character, speak French and be active in perpetuating the French language and its cultural traditions. Photos and other pertinent information will be included as the material is gathered.
