Chad Montrie was born in Toledo, Ohio, and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He did his graduate work at Ohio State University. He is now an assistant professor of history at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His teaching and research interests include U.S. social,
labor, and environmental history.
In
