Jerry Beck is a nationally recognized artist, educator, and curator. In 1984, he founded the Revolving Museum, a cultural organization dedicated to presenting innovative visual, performance, literary, and community-based projects that encourage collaborations between artists, youth, and community members. Beck has exhibited widely including the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, RISD Museum, Artist Space in NY, Snug Harbor Cultural Center in NY, and the Capp Street Project in San Francisco. He has been an artist-in-residence, teacher, lecturer, and community arts' advisor with many arts organizations including the New England Foundation for the Arts, Massachusetts College of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art, The National Organization of Artists Spaces, and the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley College. His numerous grants and fellowships include a New England Foundation for the Arts Visible Republic Grant, Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant in Sculpture, Lila Wallace-Reader's-Digest Arts International Grant, and National Endowment for the Arts' Grants in Sculpture and Art in Public Places. Beck has a BFA from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.
