Steve O’Connor was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts. He graduated from UMass Amherst, and received masters' degrees from University College Dublin, and UMass Boston. He resides in Lowell with his wife, Olga, and two children. He teaches English at Greater Lowell Technical High School.
