Janet Egan left a high-tech career to concentrate on writing five years ago. Her poetry, prose, and increasingly, photography centers on life in the Merrimack Valley and along the New England coast. When not writing or guarding piping plovers, Janet washes dishes and litterboxes at the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society and acts as webmaster and computer consultant for the International Dendrological Research Institute. A Massachusetts native, she has made her home in North Andover for the past 23 years.
