Janet
Lambert Moore was born and educated in Lowell, Massachusetts. She
earned a BFA from Massachusetts State College. A former high school
art director, she is now pursuing a full time painting career. She
has had more than fifteen solo art exhibits including shows at the
Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Whistler House Museum, Lowell Museum
and the Lowell National Historic Park.
A noted Lowell
artist for many years, Janet has won prizes in painting, portraiture,
and graphics. Her work is displayed throughout the world. She has
published and illustrated a Lowell History and consulted on numerous
arts festivals, exhibits, theatrical productions educational projects
and publications. In 1987 she took paintings of Lowell to Quebec
City for the International Jack Kerouac Gathering which celebrated
this leader of the Beat writers who was born in Lowell. She has
illustrated two beat magazine covers, a full color childrens book
the "Magic Chopsticks", and numerous community projects.
Her work is
in the collections of many banks and corporations as well as the
private collections of numerous officials including members of the
Massachusetts and United States Congress and Senate.
