Hillary Holladay

Hillary Holladay is an associate professor of American literature at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and director of the U Mass Lowell annual Beat Literature Symposium, held the first Friday in October. Her poems have appeared in numerous publications including Yankee, the Christian Science Monitor, and The Formalist. She is also the author of a critical study, Ann Petry (Twayne, 1996).

Three of these poems were first published elsewhere: "Overheard at Walden Pond" in 13th Moon, "Flurried" in West Branch, and "The Souls of Tapirs" in Verse.
